Burnaby's cheapest price for gas has stayed the same in the last seven days as commuters plan for the first weekend of 2024.
However, most other outlets saw a slight uptick in their prices, leading to a higher weekly average for the city.
GasBuddy.com says the most affordable gas in Burnaby is available for $1.61 per litre at two different stations — Super Save Gas on 6th Street and Smart Gas on Canada Way (see full list below).
That's also the second least expensive price for fuel in all of Metro Vancouver.
Other prices increased between two and six cents across Burnaby, elevating the average to $1.66 per litre, as of this publication, Jan. 5. That's a rise of two cents compared to last Friday, Dec. 29.
The least expensive fuel in the region remains at $1.59 per litre, posted at the CO-OP along 104 Avenue in Surrey.
Meanwhile, GasBuddy.com says four gas stations in B.C. are offering less than $1.40 per litre.
The lowest in the province sits at $1.38 per litre at the Super Save Gas in Quesnel.
The next three, listed for $1.39 per litre, can be found in Kamloops, Williams Lake and 150 Mile House.
