Gas prices are still trending downward for Burnaby motorists to fill up before heading out for the May long weekend.

GasBuddy.com says the city's cheapest price for fuel is $1.92 per litre at Smart Gas stop on Canada Way, two cents less than its previous plateau of $1.94 per litre (see list below).

That's the second least expensive gas in Metro Vancouver. Richmond's Super Save Gas on No. 5 Road has posted a price of $1.85 per litre, as of this publication, May 17.

The biggest drop was five cents from last Friday, May 10, from $1.99 to $1.94 at the Super Save Gas on Kingsway.

Burnaby's average price for gas is currently $1.96 per litre, resulting from its top 10 lowest prices dropping to under $2 per litre.

Meanwhile, one gas station in all of B.C. is selling fuel for less than $1.60 per litre.

Once again, Quesnel's Super Save Gas (914 Front St.) is the province's least expensive price for gas, dropping one cent to $1.59 per litre in the last week.

Outlets in Salmon Arm, Prince George, West Kelowna and Kamloops make up the rest of the top 10 cheapest prices, for now, ranging from $1.62 to $1.67 per litre.
