Burnaby motorists can revel in knowing that the city hosts the cheapest gas in Metro Vancouver ahead of the weekend.
The Chevron station on Boundary Road is offering fuel for $1.65 per litre, as of this publication, according to GasBuddy.com (see list below).
That number is a dip of nine cents from $1.74 per litre last Friday, Aug. 9.
Burnaby has three outlets with a posted price of less than $1.70 per litre, including $1.68 at 6th Street Super Save gas and $1.69 at Canada Way Smart Gas.
The city's average is $1.73 per litre, which is a weekly drop of four cents from $1.77 per litre.
Meanwhile, there are other cheaper outlets are within driving distance of Burnaby.
And two of which are offering gas for less than $1.60 per litre, according to GasBuddy.com.
The Fraser Highway Petro-Canada and CO-OP in Abbotsford have both posted a price of $1.58 per litre — located less than 50 km east of Burnaby.
