The holidays are almost here, and local market vendors are gearing up for a busy season of craft fairs and holiday markets.
There are tons of choices for those wanting to support local businesses this winter.

Yuletide Market at GardenWorks
It’ll be a day of festivities and cheer at GardenWorks at Mandeville, hosted by the Mom Market Vancouver.
Whether you want to do some holiday shopping, get a mini-photoshoot with an on-site photographer for your festive family photos, or do some all-ages decorations in the craft corner, this event promises to be a fun day for all.

Greentree Village Christmas Market
Head to the Greentree Village Community Centre this November and check out the beautiful wares at this makers market, including delicious, decorated sugar cookies by Homemade By Harris, organic teas including traditional Bombay Masala Chai by Trudy Ann’s Chai and Spices and festive pine cone arrangements.
When: Saturday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

École Inman Elementary’s Second Holiday Market
With door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and more than 30 vendors, the second annual holiday market at École Inman Elementary is sure to be a must visit. On Sunday only, you can also meet get a photo with Santa by donation.
All funds raised will go to the school’s outdoor play equipment and the teacher yearly funds, according to the Facebook event page.
When: Saturday, Nov. 18 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Burnaby Artists Guild Fall Art Show 2023
In this beautiful art exhibition and sale “Spectrum of Fall,” the Burnaby Artists Guild is showcasing stunning artworks in a variety of styles and mediums.

Nikkei Craft Fair
This marketplace will be thriving at the Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre, with tons of handcrafted treasures, beautiful jewelry and artworks, beauty and skincare products, eco-friendly upcycled gems and more. With more than 90 craft and food vendos, food trucks, craft workshops, door prizes, community booths, and more, this is one that's sure to be spectacular.
When: Saturday, Nov. 18 and Sunday, Nov. 19 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (doors open at 9:30 a.m. for NNMCC members and seniors only)
Where: Nikkei National Museum and Cultural Centre (6688 Southoaks Cres.)
Cost: $5 per day, tickets available at the door. Admission is free for those aged 17 or under, seniors aged 65 and older and NNMCC members.
Swedish Christmas Fair
It’s time for the 45th annual Julmarknad, hosted by the Swedish Cultural Society. With traditional Swedish goods and gifts for family, home and celebration, this weekend holiday fair will have local vendors and a Swedish café with open-faced sandwiches, glögg, hot dogs and treats.

Deer Lake Winter Festival
Here’s your chance to shop more than 40 local B.C. artisans in this seasonal, juried market ensuring the highest quality handcrafted creations.
There’s a huge diversity of artworks to peruse, from glassblowers to sculptors to jam makers and jewellers.

Scandinavian Craft Fair 2023
The Scandinavian Craft Fair is back, hosted by the Vancouver Finlandia Club, with vendors and delicious Scandinavian baked goods like Karelian pie (Karjalan Piirakat), rye bread and Finnish Christmas star cookies (Joulutorttu) available for pre-order.
Vendors include Anne’s Nordic Vintage, Daisy Chain Designs, Canadian Friends of Finland and Linda Jewellry Designs.

Winter Market at Glenwood Elementary
Glenwood PAC is hosting what's sure to be a fun and festive winter market at Glenwood Elementary. Vendors at the market will include local artisans, students and parents.
The market will also host a 50-50 draw at 1 p.m., a silent auction and a used book fair. Proceeds from the concession will go to Glenwood PAC to fund field trips, teacher wish lists and school events. There will also be a basket for donations to the food bank.

Burnaby Christmas Night Market
Celebrate “the magic of the season” at the Burnaby Christmas Night Market hosted by the Salvation Army. The event will have Christmas gifts, festive food and drinks, a kids’ carnival and photos with Santa and music by local choirs and musicians.

St. Stephen’s Christmas Market

St. Alban’s Christmas Market

BCIT Alumni Holiday Market
The fourth annual online BCIT Alumni Holiday Market is back this year until Dec. 31 with more than 20 alumni-owned businesses offering thoughtful gifts for your family and friends. Hosted by the BCIT Alumni Association, the online market includes businesses such as Shop First Nations, which features Indigenous businesses, as well as Hudson and Oak, a modern home goods store.
