Burnaby RCMP responded to a two-vehicle crash on Willingdon Avenue near Still Creek Drive early Sunday morning.

Police are looking for witnesses and dashcam video after an early morning crash in Burnaby that might have involved an impaired driver.

Police were called to Willingdon Avenue near Still Creek Drive at 3:20 a.m. Sunday for reports of a two-vehicle collision, according to a Burnaby RCMP news release.

A black Mercedes with three occupants was reportedly travelling northbound on Willingdon Avenue, while the driver of a red Hyundai SUV with two occupants was driving southbound when the collision occurred.

The driver of the Hyundai was transported to hospital with what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say it is early in the investigation, but "impairment is suspected as a contributing factor."

Investigators are looking to speak to anyone who saw the crash or might have dashcam video from the area of Willingdon Avenue and Still Creek Drive between 3 and 3:30 a.m.

"Often witnesses leave the scene of a collision without speaking to police," Burnaby RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mike Kalanj said in the release.
