An investigation is underway after a body was discovered in Burnaby on Thursday, Aug. 15.
Burnaby RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Laura Hirst said in an emailed statement to the NOW that police were called to a report of a body found shortly after 4:30 p.m. near Canada Way and Kensington Avenue.
Hirst said foul play has been ruled out and Burnaby RCMP is working with the BC Coroners Service to investigate the cause of death.
No other details are being released at this time.
