Snow started to fall in some parts of Burnaby as of around 11:30 a.m. and is expected to continue through most of the day.
But it’s not expected to stick much as it’s of the wet variety so people wanting a repeat of Saturday's runs down snow-covered hills will be disappointed. Expect more wet weather in the forecast for the rest of the week.
On Thursday, Feb. 18, Environment Canada calls for rain at times mixed with snow in the morning and a high of 5°C during the day. Rain at times mixed with snow is expected later this evening and temperatures are expected to dip down to 3°C overnight.
Burnaby Mountain, Capitol Hill and Metrotown are all receiving flurries this morning.
On Friday, the forecast is calling for periods of rain and a high of 6°C during the day. At night, the forecast calls for a 60 per cent chance of showers. Saturday is expected to see periods of rain during the day and rain overnight. Sunday will also see rain throughout the day and night.
Starting next week, Monday's forecast calls for rain during the day, but the evening is calling for a 60 per cent chance of showers.
Tuesday, however, is expected to be the lone dry day of the week, with the forecast calling for a mix of sun and cloud during the day and cloudy periods at night.
