Letter: The idea of colossal Burnaby towers is 'horrifying'

This letter writer believes losing sight of the sky would be disappointing for other Lougheed area residents.

Re: Colossal 80-storey, 73-storey towers approved in Burnaby with 1,400+ condos (Sept. 23, 2024)

Another day, another piece of sky gone.

I live across Lougheed from this planned development and find the idea horrifying.

I'm not talking about the massive density increase or even the utter lack of green area around this development but instead how this massive set of towers, on a hillside blocks the sky.

Right now, I can look out my window and see the a collection of towers to the left and a gap where I can see the colour of the sky, then more towers.

The gap is where this tower will go.

Guess we don't need to see the sky or get any sunlight on the ground.

Now, someone also tell me where the residents of Carrigan Court go while the replacement building is being built?
