Letter: Why I think Burnaby's BC Parkway needs a second path

Is a second paved pathway needed for Burnaby's BC Parkway?

Re: Burnaby kicks off BC Parkway planning with free summer events, activities (June 21, 2024)

I am confident that the number one comment/request at these community open houses, was a second paved pathway on the other side of the SkyTrain pillars.

The current pathway is already at its maximum.

Especially now with more and more e-scooters, bicycles, mopeds, skateboards and even motorcycles using this pathway, it has become a street and commuter route.

The pathway has become much more dangerous for walkers, joggers, baby strollers seniors scooters.

Some added speed bumps might be a good temporary solution.
