It appears someone that recently bought a lottery ticket in Burnaby has earned a five-figure payday.
For the second time in as many weeks, the BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) has posted a winning ticket purchased in the city.
This time, the prize is worth $73,147.50 from Lotto 6/49's jackpot from last Wednesday, Sept. 27.
According to PlayNow.com, the Burnaby ticket correctly guessed at least five of the seven numbers for the mid-week draw:
- 09, 17, 25, 30, 38, 48 and 35 (bonus)
It's not known, as of this publication, Oct. 3, if the prize has been claimed.
And Burnaby's mystery winner isn't the only one that's slated to earn the money.
Eight other tickets held five or six of the final numbers to split the total Lotto 6/49 secondary prize: roughly $660,000.
This includes six from Ontario, one from Québec and one from western Canada (Alberta, Saskatchewan or Manitoba).
"All lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward to claim their prize," BCLC has previously stated.
"The specific retail location where the winning lottery ticket was purchased, and the lottery winners' name(s) will be announced after the winner has come forward to claim their prize."
The Lotto 6/49 classic jackpot from the Sept. 27 draw was $5 million, but no one took home the top prize. Someone in Ontario, however, won the Gold Ball jackpot of $68 million.
