It's time for another season of Heritage Christmas at the Burnaby Village Museum!
The 10-acre open air site at Deer Lake Park will be festively bedecked, hosting live performances, scavenger hunts and stunning light displays, according to a city press release.
The Bright in Burnaby tree lighting ceremony will be held Nov. 30 at 6 p.m., with all proceeds from carousel rides between 5 and 9 p.m. going to the Burnaby Christmas Bureau. Concord Pacific will match all donations.
"Heritage Christmas is a beloved tradition in Burnaby, something that families from across the region look forward to each year," said Mayor Mike Hurley in a press release.
"Taking in the holiday displays at Burnaby Village Museum is an unforgettable experience, full of magic, lights and holiday cheer — and it’s even more special that this event helps support those in need in our community."
Families can take photos with Father Christmas on Concord Community Days (Dec. 14, 21, 22, 28 and 29), which will feature a charitable photo booth (for each picture taken, Concord Pacific will donate to the Burnaby Firefighters Charitable Society) and a holiday sleigh.
