A man wanted on a B.C.-wide arrest warrant last week turned himself in at Vancouver provincial court Friday.
Burnaby RCMP put out a news release Monday appealing for tips on the whereabouts of 28-year-old Manveer Singh Dhesi of Surrey, who was wanted on charges including assault, uttering threats, mischief and being unlawfully in a dwelling house.
On Friday, police announced Dhesi had turned himself in to the courts.
Dhesi’s charges relate to alleged incidents on March 13 at his ex-girlfriend’s Burnaby home, according to information presented during a bail hearing Friday morning.
His ex-girlfriend, her sister, her brother-in-law and her brother-in-law’s brother were all at the house, according to Crown prosecutor Jennifer Dyck.
“There was an alleged incident where Mr. Dhesi turned up at their home, assaulted, allegedly, two of the individuals and barged into the home without consent,” Dyck said.
After the hearing, B.C. provincial court Judge Jeffrey Campbell release Dhesi on a $500 promise to pay and conditions not to go within two blocks of his ex-girlfriend’s house or contact any of his alleged victims.
Dhesi’s next court date is scheduled for April 27.
