Local MLAs, along with BC Premier David Eby, will be taking part in a telephone town hall with New West and Burnaby resdienits on April 29.

Do you have a question you’ve been hoping to ask your MLA or B.C.'s premier? If so, this could be your chance.

Three New Democrat MLAs are hosting a telephone town hall with B.C. Premier David Eby on April 29 to answer questions and concerns from people in New West and Burnaby.

New Westminster MLA Jennifer Whiteside, Richmond-Queensborough MLA Aman Singh and Burnaby-Edmonds Raj Chouhan are hosting the event, where people from New Westminster and Burnaby who have pre-registered for the event will have an opportunity to ask questions that will be addressed by the premier or one of their local MLAs.

“The concerns, questions and insights of people in our communities matter greatly to us,” Whiteside said in a statement to the Record. “Let's continue the dialogue and ensure that everyone’s voice is heard loud and clear.”

Singh said people have things like affordability, housing and health care on their minds, and their elected officials want to hear from them.

“We look forward to having Premier Eby engage directly with the residents of Burnaby-Edmonds, New Westminster and Richmond-Queensborough about the issues that matter most to these important communities,” Chouhan said.

The telephone town hall is on Monday, April 29 at 6:45 p.m.

Once registered, participants will be called on their registered phone number just before the town hall begins. They will be prompted to join and ask a question if they would like.
