More white stuff is on the way tonight.

Remember that snow in Burnaby yesterday? Well, we're expecting more of it again today, as a special weather statement is in effect for March 1.

Please don't shoot the messenger, but Burnaby is in for more snowfall again tonight — and it could affect Thursday's commute.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for parts of Metro Vancouver — including Burnaby, New Westminster, the North Shore and the Tri-Cities. Another round of snow is expected, mainly over higher elevations, starting tonight (Wednesday, March 1) and heading into Thursday morning.

A Pacific frontal system moving in from the north will spread mixed precipitation on the South Coast tonight, Environment Canada says. Lower elevations of Metro Vancouver and the western Fraser Valley will see mostly rain, while areas further inland and over higher elevations will see snowfall.

We could see up to five more centimetres of snow, with the Sea to Sky corridor seeing up to 15 centimetres.

The snow and rain could mean difficult driving conditions due to slippery surfaces and reduced visibility, Environment Canada warns.

The mixed-precipitation outlook continues for the next week or so, according to the Weather Network — meaning Burnaby will likely see some combination of rain and/or snow into next week.
