It's not a "secret" anymore.
A new restaurant is gearing up to open next to Lougheed Town Centre in Burnaby where the city's one and only Red Robin was located.
Secret Garden is set to offer savoury Korean fusion cuisine — with both a buffet and grill — and a spokesperson told the NOW the business aims to open by mid-November.
According to its social media pages, the Sullivan Heights business at 9628 Cameron St. hopes to be a "blooming oasis" full of more than 40 unique culinary concoctions and dishes.
"Embark on a flavourful journey through our Korean Fusion spread, where every bite is a symphony of taste."
This includes popular, traditional and modern Korean dishes like dumplings, spicy rice cakes, seafood pancakes, kimchi fried rice, Korean fried chicken, steamed pork wrap and tofu soup.
As well, Secret Garden will have a brunch buffet that'll consist of Korean-style toast, bulgogi sandwiches and Korean-style jjajangmyun (black bean noodles).
"In addition to the buffet, Secret Garden will offer an exclusive take-out section, perfect for home parties or for those who just feel like grabbing some quick bites," a spokesperson added.
A quick peek at Secret Garden shows it's still undergoing some renovations.
Red Robin permanently closed from the building at the end of 2022, citing a "number of factors" that led to the decision, including the expiry of its lease and inability to reach an agreement.
