The Burnaby North Vikings will play for a senior boys AAA soccer championship.
The Vikings defeated North Delta 2-1 in the their semi-final match, Friday at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex West, to advance to Saturday’s final against the Argyle Pipers from North Vancouver.
The Pipers beat Kitsilano in its semi-final.
Both teams finished atop their pools after the preliminary round. Each had two wins and a tie.
The Vikings defeated Salish, 2-0, and tied Okanagan Mission 2-2 on Thursday then closed out with a 2-0 win over Reynolds Friday morning.
Burnaby North last won a provincial championship in 1999.
Saturday’s championship match is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Field 3 at the Burnaby Lake Sports Complex West.
