Burnabarians prepared for a rainy long weekend and it delivered. However, the rain certainly did not dampen spirits as it did clothes, as residents of Burnaby came together to celebrate Easter weekend with a sunny spirit in their hearts despite the downpour.
The City of Burnaby hosted a “Hop into Easter” event on Friday to kick off the long weekend with a community day of “Easter games, face painting, arts and crafts and Easter egg hunts.”
On Saturday, a family-friendly Easter Community Festival was hosted by the Point Church on Burnaby Mountain with an egg hunt, face-painting, bunny ear headbands and a bouncy castle.
