Dallas Yellowfly describes how his drum was made during a performance of Qwalena: The Wild Woman Who Steals Children.

Indigenous storyteller Dallas Yellowfly tells the story of Qwalena: The Wild Woman Who Steals Children, as well as the story of his family and the intergenerational impact caused by Residential Schools and the Indian Act.

The presentation by 3 Crows Productions blends storytelling, video and drumming, resulting in a emotional yet educational performance that is at times frightening with moments of humour.

Two more performances of Qwalena will take place at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts on September 26 and 27, at 7:30 p.m.
