Police are investigating after a vehicle went up in flames near the Burnaby-Vancouver border Tuesday night.
Firefighters were called to the 5600 block of Smith Avenue for a vehicle fire at 8:53 p.m., according to assistant fire Chief Derek Masaro.
At the scene, crews found a “fully involved” Mercedes C250, he said.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze and turned the scene over to Burnaby RCMP, according to Masaro.
The detachment confirmed it is investigating a “suspicious car fire” in the area.
Police said no other information was available at this time.
