The Burnaby RCMP has issued a notice asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an elderly woman found in the 7300-block of 19th Avenue in South Burnaby on Jan. 17.
At about 5:45 p.m. on Sunday, police received a call from a member of the public reporting that there was a woman who “appeared lost and confused,” said a police news release.
Through an interpreter the woman stated her name is Young Ja Lee.
“The woman is in good health, however, she has no identification and cannot tell police where she lives,” the release said. “She also does not speak English.”
The woman is described as:
- Korean speaking;
- Walks with a cane;
- States she is 93 years of age;
- Wearing a blue jacket;
- Black hat;
- Brown pants;
- Black shoes.
