Burnaby RCMP is looking for three people in relation to one of the biggest break-ins in the city in 2022.
In February 2022, thieves broke into a commercial warehouse on Lowland Drive near Tillicum Street in South Burnaby and reportedly made off with four full shipping containers with approximately $370,000 worth of home appliances inside, according to an RCMP news release.
A stolen semi truck and all four containers were later located throughout the Lower Mainland, but the merchandise was not, the release said.
Two months later, however, a search warrant was executed at a Surrey residence, leading to the arrest of two suspects: Jamey McIntyre, 45, and Ashley Heide, 33.
The pair were released with future court dates, according to police, and charges of motor vehicle theft, break and enter, and possession of stolen property were approved against both in August.
McIntyre and Heide are now wanted by police.
Police have also released photos of a third suspect in the case and are looking for help identifying the man, who is believed to be Caucasian and possibly in his 30s.
Heide, who is now wanted on a B.C.-wide warrant, is described as 5-foot-6, with a slender build and black hair.
McIntyre, now wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, is described as 5-foot-8 with a medium build and brown hair.
Anyone with information that could help police locate McIntyre and Heide or identify the third suspect, is asked to contact Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999.
To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
