Burnaby is in for a wet weekend to close out 2023.
However, the rain may ease up just in time for the final countdown.

That's predicted to drop to a less than 15 per cent chance by midnight on Jan. 1 for those planning to celebrate the new year outside.
Cloudy skies and a slight southwest breeze will make up the first 2024 sky across the city.
Temperatures for New Year's Eve is expected to drop to 5°C when the calendar switches to 2024. The daily high earlier in the afternoon may reach 10°C.
The entire weekend's precipitation is expected to begin tomorrow night, Dec. 29, starting at 40 per cent before increasing to 80 per cent by Saturday night, Dec. 30.
