Scott Janzen is a school board candidate with the Burnaby Municipal Greens:
Scott Jansen is a father of two girls, Mia, 4, and Reye, 1. Scott and his wife Ramona have lived on Southpoint Drive since they moved here from the prairies in 2003. As a father and as an electrical engineer, Scott is concerned for his girl's future with how some of the political decisions that are being made today. By running for school trustee, Scott hopes to have some influence in ensuring a better future for his children by maintaining the excellent level of public schooling in Burnaby and helping to enrich the education experience for all communities.
"My main platform will be to push for broader use of each school by making it easier for community groups and sports teams to use schools after-hours. This will enrich the community experience throughout Burnaby and hopefully raise some needed funds at each school."
