Sixty-two per cent of eligible Burnaby children aged 5-11 have received first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

Burnaby holds second-highest rate in Fraser Health

A BCCDC report says 35% of children aged 5-11 in Burnaby have received one dose of COVID-19 as of Dec. 20, 2021.

Burnaby COVID-19 vaccination rates in children aged 5-11 years of age continue to increase. 

According to the BC Centre for Disease Control (BCCDC) COVID-19 surveillance dashboard, 62% of those aged 5-11 and eligible have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine as of Feb. 1, 2022. 

Burnaby holds the second-highest rate in Fraser Health behind New Westminster which currently sits at 63%.
