A targeted shooting in Burnaby sent a 20-year-old man to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries Thursday, according to police.
Officers were called to Halifax Street and Woodway Place at about 2 p.m. for reports of a shooting with injuries, according to a Burnaby RCMP news release.
When they got there, there were no victims, suspects or related vehicles at the scene, the release said.

A few hours after the shooting, an SUV believed to be involved in the incident was found on fire in Coquitlam.
“Investigators believe the shooting was targeted,” stated the release.
