Were you one of the lucky ones that got to see Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour this summer?
Did you go to Seattle and endure the long border lines? Did you fly elsewhere? Have you booked tickets for one of her six Toronto concerts in 2024?
Well, Burnaby "Swifties" that didn't get the chance to see the generational icon in person can soon experience the history-making show thanks to Cineplex Cinemas.
A three-hour theatrical film, showcasing an up-close and in-person view of the tour, is taking over theatre screens in October.
This includes those at Metropolis at Metrotown (4700 Kingsway) and the VIP 19+ theatres at The Amazing Brentwood (3106-1920 Willingdon Ave.).
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, directed by Sam Wrench, will be shown across a variety of cinematic experiences, Cineplex explains in a news release, including VIP, UltraAVX, D-BOX and regular screens.
As part of her first tour since 2018, Swift has been singing a compilation of her chart-topping hits over 10 albums, including "Cruel Summer," "You Need to Calm Down," "Love Story," "22," "Anti-Hero" and "Shake It Off."
Her influence has since sparked cultural trends like friendship bracelets, which Cineplex strongly encourages movie-goers this fall to wear when watching the film.
According to the national chain, there are 13 Burnaby screenings scheduled for the premiere date, Oct. 13, of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour.
Tickets are priced accordingly by theatre. For more information, you can visit Cineplex's website.
