The most and least expensive homes sold in Burnaby in February

Last month's home sales ranged between $3.52 million for a single-family home to $395,000 for a condo.

Home sales have ticked upwards in Burnaby in the last month as February saw a total of 254 local homes sold.

It's the most sold in a month since October last year, according to statistics by Zealty.ca.

In February, Burnaby home sales included 40 detached homes, 38 townhomes and 176 apartments.

The median sold price was $830,000, and the average was $1,029,619.

Most expensive detached home

Burnaby’s most expensive single-family home sold in February was at 7188 Kitchener St. in the Sperling-Duthie neighbourhood.

The six-bedroom, six-bathroom home sold for $3.52 million on Feb. 13 after 40 days on market.

The eight-year-old home is 4,654 square-feet on a 9,504 sq. ft. lot and was most recently assessed at $3.754 million.

The listing said the home has “high ceilings, art-gallery walls and chef’s gourmet kitchen” along with a home audio and sound system.

Least expensive detached home

The cheapest detached home in Burnaby last month sold for $1.068 million at 5953 Marine Dr. in the South Slope neighbourhood.

It sold Feb. 16 after four days on the market. The 1,316 sq.ft., three-bedroom, two-bathroom home sits on a 2,955 sq.ft. lot.

It’s 2024 BC Assessment value is $1,098,800.

The listing said the home has “abundant potential for renovation,” and has a new hot water tank and fresh exterior door and window.

The property at 3909 Price St. was priciest townhome sold in Burnaby in February.

With four bedrooms and four bathrooms, the home sold for $1,852,500 on Feb. 6 after six days on the market. It was assessed at $1,642,000.

The 19-year-old home is 2,097 sq.ft. and has been freshly painted and is an “ideal home for a growing family,” according to the listing.

Burnaby’s least expensive townhouse sold in February was at 8931 Orion Place in Simon Fraser Village.

It sold for $716,000 on Feb. 20 after seven days on the market. The 52-year-old-home has three bedrooms and one bathroom and is 1,288 sq. ft.

It has a 75 sq. ft. deck with a fenced yard and is an end unit, according to the listing.

It was assessed at $729,000.

The most expensive condo in Burnaby sold last month for $3.2 million in Brentwood.

5401-4650 Brentwood Blvd., the penthouse suite at the Amazing Brentwood Tower 3, has three bedrooms and four bathrooms and is 1,795 sq. ft.

The three-year-old “luxury penthouse” has “breathtaking” views of the Burrard Inlet, Mount Baker and city views, along with an almost 1,800 sq. ft. wrap-around patio/deck and a six-person hot tub.

The home was assessed at $2.093 million and sold Feb. 14 after 41 days on market.

The cheapest condo in the city last month was at 103-7428 19th Ave. in Edmonds.

The 712-sq.ft. home was built 50 years ago, and includes one parking space, a storage locker and an “large in-suite storage room.”

The one-bedroom, one-bathroom home was sold Feb. 28 after two days on market for $395,000. It was assessed at $365,800.
