This Burnaby commuter road is finally free of construction

The FortisBC project is still moving its way east, with some Burnaby roads still closed to traffic. The good news is that the project to upgrade gas lines is mostly causing traffic issues for Coquitlam now.

The FortisBC project is still moving its way east, with some Burnaby roads still closed to traffic.

The good news is that the project to upgrade gas lines is mostly causing traffic issues for Coquitlam now.

That’s because FortisBC announced that it has left Gaglardi Way, good news for drivers who use this road to commute.

“All northbound and southbound lanes are now open on Gaglardi Way, as our gas line upgrades continue to progress in Burnaby,” the company said in a statement. “There will be some ongoing lane closures for traffic turning eastbound on to Broadway.”

Broadway is still closed between Arden and Underhill, so people will be forced to use Lougheed Highway during peak times. Bainbridge is still closed between Lougheed and Broadway.
