As back-to-school season approaches, TransLink is adding bus times to its Simon Fraser University (SFU) and University of British Columbia (UBC) routes.
The fall service changes, beginning Sept. 4, include increasing weekday service on the 143 from Burquitlam station and the 145 from Production Way-University station for students travelling to and from SFU.
Saturday evenings on the 145 will see "slightly" reduced service.
In Burnaby, service on the 25 bus (Brentwood Station-UBC) will be adjusted on weekdays, Sundays and holidays "to provide more space at times when it's needed most," according to TransLink.
The 49 (Metrotown Station-Dunbar Loop-UBC) and 222 (Metrotown Station-Phibbs Exchange) will also be adjusted on weekdays.
The 130 bus (Metrotown-Pender-Kootenay) will get more service, running on Saturdays every 12 minutes towards Kootenay from 5 to 7 p.m.

- Every 10 minutes from 7:30 to 10 a.m. (from 20 minutes)
- Every 12 minutes 2:20 to 6:20 p.m. (from 10 to 20 minutes)
- Every 20 minutes 6:20 to 7 p.m. (from 40 minutes)
145 SFU-Production Way-University
Monday to Friday
- Every 10 minutes towards SFU Exchange from 7 to 7:30 a.m. (from 15 minutes)
- Every 6 minutes towards Production Station from 7 to 7:30 a.m. (from 15 minutes)
- Every 6 minutes from 7:30 to 10 a.m. (from 10 to 15 minutes)
- Every 7 minutes towards SFU Exchange from 10 to 10:20 a.m. (from 15 minutes)
- Every 10 minutes from 10:20 a.m. to 3 p.m. (from 15 minutes)
- Every 7 to 8 minutes from 3 to 4 p.m. (from 10 minutes)
- Every 6 minutes from 4 to 6 p.m. (from 10 minutes)
- Every 12 minutes towards Production Station from 6 to 7 p.m. (from 15 minutes)
Saturday
- Every 20 minutes from 6 to 9 p.m. (from 15 minutes)
TransLink makes changes to its service every January, April, June and September based on seasonal patterns and recent trends.
