Evening and part-time classes will proceed as planned at BCIT in Burnaby tonight since power has been restored to much of the campus, according to an update from the school.
Daytime classes continue to be cancelled, however, and most on-campus services like the library, gym and food outlets will stayed closed until regular operating hours tomorrow, April 9.
BCIT cancelled all daytime classes and exams just after 12:30 p.m. today because of a power outage.
The school asked all students, staff and faculty to safely make their way off the Burnaby and Centre for Applied Research and Innovation (CARI) campuses.
The SE2 and SW1 buildings were kept open as assembly areas for passenger pick-up. All other buildings were closed.
