Drivers headed east on Highway 1 this weekend will have to find an alternative to the Willingdon Avenue exit in Burnaby.
As part of the continued Highway 1 construction, the Willingdon Avenue overpass will be closed to northbound traffic on Aug. 2 from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Aug. 6, according to a media release.
Drivers looking to exit the highway into North Burnaby will have to use the Boundary Road or Sprott Street exits instead.
The closures will also affect southbound traffic along Willingdon as construction crews reduce the Willingdon Avenue overpass to one lane.
First Avenue and Kensington Avenue are other options available to drivers wishing to access Highway 1 from North Burnaby.
