Burnaby trees are getting a little hydration help thanks to watering bags set up by city staff – and residents can get in on the action.
The bags ensure young trees get the water they need during the drier summer months, according to Jared Bowles, city communications and marketing coordinator, in a City Connect video.
The bags slowly release water over four to six hours to provide moisture to the tree.
The city says residents can fill up bags in their neighbourhood with water twice per week.
