We're continuing with our popular feature - our staff's Top 5 (Or More) Things To Do This Weekend. Here's our Top 5 list for Aug. 23 to 25.

1 Get stargazing Friday night at Simon Fraser University, which is hosting its free event, Starry Nights. Get to the Burnaby campus at 8 p.m., near the Academic Quadrangle courtyard. It's open to children, as well.

There will be telescopes and binoculars that volunteers will help you with. It is weather-dependent, so check the website at 5 p.m. to confirm whether it's still on. For more information, visit www.sfu.ca/starrynights.

2 Get cheering at the Minto Cup finals. Watch the New Westminster Salmonbellies challenge Ontario's Whitby Warriors at Queen's Park Arena, New Westminster. The best-of-five series got underway Thursday and continues with games on Friday, Aug. 23 (today) and Saturday, Aug. 24, as well as Sunday and Monday (if necessary). 3 Get listening to the Lions Gate Chorus community performance on Saturday, Aug. 24 in the banquet room at Bonsor Community Centre. The event is admission by donation from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and includes 100-plus women from as far away as Seattle, Washington and Edmonton. The group is preparing for an international competition in November. For more information, visit the website at www.lionsgatechorus.ca.

4 Get enjoying Burnaby's storytelling project at the Burnaby Village museum on Saturday, Aug. 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tianfei Wang, Narges Gohavi and Karl Daishare will tell their stories of welcome and inclusion into the local community. There are also other events happening in the village from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information, visit the website at www.burnabyvillage museum.ca.

5 Get watching a free movie at Confederation Park on Sunday, Aug. 25, at its grass oval, field two. The movie is Hotel Transylvania, and it starts at 8:30 p.m. Get there earlier to grab a spot, participate in the activities, enjoy the displays and take part in the barbecue, starting at 5 p.m. The event is happening rain or shine.
