Burnaby public schools came out on top at a B.C. high school netball tournament held at Burnaby Mountain Secondary last Saturday.
Burnaby North took top honours in the senior division, winning the tournament title over Collingwood.
Burnaby South picked up third place in the senior age group.
In the junior division, Moscrop bettered runner-up Alpha A in the tournament final. North A placed third.
Individual senior team MVP winners included: Alpha’s Kiersten Hagen, Bunaby Central’s Cassie Tolentino, Emily Makilhara of Mountain, North’s Kathryn Dawson, South’s Emma Binstead and Kim Tran of Cariboo Hill.
Junior MVPs went to Alpha’s Sarah Kuhn and Daisy Chung, Central’s Farbeen Hoq, Miljana Zmukic of Mountain, Manreet Bhullar and Ruth Wong of North, Catie Alvarez of South, Simmie Sidhu of Cariboo Hill and Nasseem Vazinkhoo of Moscrop.
