The Dynamo Swim Club did its coaches proud at a 16-team meet in Langley last week.
Ten-year-old Eric Xiong posted personal best times in four race finals, finishing fifth in the 100-metre butterfly, sixth in the 100m freestyle and eighth in the 100m backstroke.
Samantha Skene, 14, made the final of the 200m free, while 12-year-old Grace Lin placed eighth in the 100m breaststroke.
Megan Wong, 11, made the finals of the 100m free and back. Teammate Nicholas Wong, also 11, was seventh in the 100m fly.
Also achieving PB times for Dynamo were: Rebecca Wong, Janneke Beckers, Brandon Cai, Shawn Chaudhry, Kristian Dukic, Stefan Dukic, Daniel Dukic, Andrew Li, Rebecca Szakacs, Jennifer Wong, Brandon Wu, Kathy Wu and eight-year-old first-timer Sarah Yang.
“Dynamo swimmers improved a lot in their swimming technique, endurance and mental preparation,” said Dynamo director of swimming Lidia Menzies. “Everyone got best times in their events and made the coaches proud.”
