This weekend the Simon Fraser University wrestling program, in conjunction with the Hargobind Wrestling Club, will host the Hargobind International wrestling championships.
Two-time world junior wrestling champion Victoria Anthony will take part in the event as will top male and female wrestlers from India and the United States.
On Friday, the qualifying tournament and national team carding tournament will be held in the Central Gym on Burnaby Campus at Simon Fraser University.
The top six wrestlers in that event will move onto the international portion of the competition, which will take place in Surrey on Saturday at the Guilford Recreation Centre, beginning at 9 a.m.
Matches get underway at 10 a.m. this Friday in the Central Gym on the Burnaby Campus at Simon Fraser University.
