Moscrop makes the playoffs

The Moscrop Panthers made it into the playoffs with a 50-14 win over Eric Hamber in Tier II varsity football last Friday.

The Moscrop Panthers made it into the playoffs with a 50-14 win over Eric Hamber in Tier II varsity football last Friday.

Jesse Johnston completed 14 passes for 184 yards and five touchdowns in the final game of the regular season for the two Western conference schools. Moscrop finished league play in fourth place with a record of two wins and three losses.

Marcus Perrin caught seven passes for 86 yards and two touchdowns, while Mohammed Indakem also scored off a 33-yard reception. Parm Bhullar and Bailey Watson also caught short passes for TDs for the Panthers.

Overall, Moscrop rushed for 162 yards, including a 42-yard scamper by Frank Hung for another Moscrop touchdown.

Moscrop will head to Nanaimo on Friday for a first-round playoff clash with the unbeaten Western conference champs.

"The boys should be proud of themselves," said head coach Craig Bymoen.
