BOSTON — Canadian defenceman Josh Morrissey missed the 4 Nations Face-Off final against the United States due to an illness Thursday.
The blueliner was replaced in the lineup by Thomas Harley.
Morrissey, of the Winnipeg Jets, averaged 21 minutes 32 seconds through the tournament's first three games.
Harley, of the Dallas Stars, was brought in as an extra body earlier in the 4 Nations when No. 1 defenceman Cale Makar (illness) was unable to play against the Americans in Saturday's 3-1 preliminary round loss in Montreal.
The 23-year-old played 18:17 against the U.S.
Morrissey wasn't the only member of the Jets to miss out on the championship game. American forward Kyle Connor was a healthy scratch.
