Donuts + ice cream= happy Chris.
That’s a simple equation I think will make anyone happy. You’ll be able to do the math soon as a donut pop-up event is coming to North Burnaby.
Glenburn Soda Fountain on Hastings in the Heights is teaming up with Royal City Donuts for a special event from Feb. 1 to 7.
But on Saturday, Feb. 1, you can get the donuts and have special ice cream creations during Glenburn's ice cream for breakfast event from 9 to noon. If you wear real pajamas, you could win ice cream for a year.
Royal City Donuts will be offering a selection of its famously yummy brioche donuts each day. Just follow the @RoyalCityDonuts Instagram account for which flavours will be offered each day. Based on a recent post, there might be bacon involved.
Royal City Donuts does have plans to have a permanent location in Burnaby one day. I’ve sampled their fare before and let’s say that Tim Hortons should be ashamed of their garbage food. Until then, this will have to satiate our appetites.
Maybe we’ll get lucky and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will pop by.
