Dear Editor:

Re: Baldrey is out of touch, Letters to the editor, Burnaby NOW, Aug. 10.

A very interesting rant from Joe Sawchuk, as he seems concerned over Keith Baldrey's conclusions about the latest polls and the current popularity of the Christy Clark Liberal Government.

Joe claims Mr. Baldrey is living in the twilight zone, as he reports and comments on the recent polling trends.

Well Joe, it sounds like you are suffering from a bad case of "denial." You are certainly entitled to express your strong support for the Liberal government. But you should try to base your criticisms of journalists on some sort of logic. You claim the polls are "bogus big time." Well Joe, I'm not sure of the methodology you use to reach your conclusions, but I think I will trust the likes of Angus Reid, Decima Research and other firms before accepting your somewhat misguided conclusions.

And finally Joe, Keith Baldrey's credentials as a journalist are well documented. So disagree with the polls if you like, but don't shoot the messenger.
