Keep the letters coming

Dear Editor:

The year 2011 has been a very interesting year. We were confronted with a lot of political issues, provincially and municipally, such as the referendum, the election, the rioters, the adoption of the 5.45 anti-bullying policy by the school board, etc.

These issues prompt many people to write letters to the editor expressing their opinions. With great interest, I personally read all of them, and even though I didn't always agree with the writer's point of view, I hold much respect to all of them for broadening my understanding on the various subjects involving our province and/or our city.

I believe that getting involved by expressing our opinion is one way of making a difference, one way to do our part in attempting to make our world a better one. I hope to see even more people getting involved in sharing their opinions, politically or otherwise, in the year 2012.

As well, I would like to take this time to wish the best of the new year and to thank all those who took the time to write such articles and to all who took the time to read them.
