Khaski's opinion meaningless

Dear Editor: Re: Politics, not science, Letters to the Editor, Burnaby NOW, Aug. 9. With all due respect to Dr. Grigori Khaskin of SFU and his "opinion" on climate change, he is part of a small minority of the science community, yet he chooses to base part of his opinion on an English court ruling that simply was a limited decision and was not an out-and-out rebuke of former U.S. vicepresident Al Gore.

And rather than saying we should do our best on climate control, he chooses to say, "Well, the Russians, Chinese, etc. aren't, so why should we?" Mr. Khaskin's opinion really is meaningless and nothing more than an arrogant attempt to parlay the anti-climate change big business rant.
