We had Black Victory walk recently at Central Park Burnaby. It was to mark 126 years of the March 1, 1896 Victory of Adwa. The first victory against scramble of Africa.
The victory is considered as a symbol of freedom, equality and justice not only for Ethiopians and Africans, but also to the global community as it inspired Pan African movement across the world.
In the event, Canadians, Ethiopians, people of African descent and social justice activists participated.
