It’s ridiculous that this council wants to increase our taxes by 10 per cent. Especially when the city is running a surplus and receives developers' money to pay for all the new amenities and has received federal money to build two new fire halls.
We have enough ice rinks and community centres. We have enough condo buildings blocking views and creating pollution.
They have wasted so much money on new playgrounds where they are not used enough. Stop the over-development of condos and then see if they need to raise taxes.
