I would like to say I agree with your stories about the disrespect people have for others regarding this COVID-19 outbreak. I’ve been watching them at the Cariboo track and field beside Cariboo Secondary.
On Good Friday, while out for my daily walk, the track was quite busy with some social distancing and others showing that some people just won’t abide by the rules. The worst thing was watching the reckless activity on the field with a soccer game and a baseball ball game going on at both ends again - totally disregarding all the notices around the area saying the field is closed but the track is open for walking.
There is another issue at the back of the high school parking lot area, which is now becoming a disgusting dump for fast food containers, etc.
It's sad to restrict access to areas, but maybe the City of Burnaby and the Burnaby School District should have a look and maybe close the access to vehicles for the time being.
