Re: Robocalls could have reduced turnout, Burnaby NOW, March 14.

It must have been a very slow news day when a report about an academic study made your front page. The article opened by stating that "A Simon Fraser University economist has found evidence" regarding certain allegations, but it concluded by stating that the economics professor "stressed that her findings do not prove" those same allegations.

Instead of sensationalizing an inconclusive statistical analysis, it is time to calm down about "alleged robocalls" and let Elections Canada conclude its official investigation. Let's wait and see if it uncovers some actual evidence, like real voters willing to testify that they were not just inconvenienced by having to travel to several locations, but that they were in fact prevented from voting. Such news would warrant front-page coverage, but it has not happened.
