Re: Contest called misguided by gondola critics, Burnaby NOW, March 22
I was pleased to see that the Simon Fraser University student society is taking an active role in the gondola project.
It is great to see that young people are taking an interest in issues that are so important to their future, as well as the future of the region.
It was sad to see that some residents of the area described the students as misguided. A gondola up Burnaby Mountain to Simon Fraser University is beneficial on so many levels it is difficult to comprehend that anyone would be against it.
Yes, there are more pressing transit projects going ahead in the near future, but hopefully the gondola will happen, eventually.
