Dear Editor:
I was very excited when Jane Shin announced her B.C. NDP candidacy for the Burnaby-Lougheed riding with a long list of colourful but somewhat mysterious credentials.
Later, several local papers raised a few questions requesting clarification of those crendentials but she never released any explanation.
Several publications reported some contradictory and increadible stories in English, Korean and Chinese papers as facts and truth.
I expected a straightforward statement from her about the issues mentioned in the stories, but it was never released.
Before taking official office as MLA for Burnaby-Lougheed, I think she has a mandatory obligation to voters to tell the true facts.
Otherwise, it will become a legal breach of trust or worse consequences.
Honesty, sincerity and truth are essential in public service and in democracy.
H. Kim, Burnaby
