The Official Community Plan for the eastern residential development on Burnaby Mountain has a height limit of 10 storeys.
In their latest grab for property taxes and density bonus fees, Burnaby council is sending yet another over-height tower to add to the "picket fence" on the northeast peak to public hearing.
Curiously, on the southwest side of the mountain visible to Burnaby voters, the plan approves building height to a mere four storeys. Go figure?
