Re: Mayor backs Topp in NDP race, Burnaby NOW, March 14.
I cannot, for the life of me, understand why anyone would care, or would wish to know the mind of the mayor of Burnaby when it comes to the selection of leader for the federal NDP party. Especially considering that very few people in Burnaby will have any say in the matter.
I also wonder if Jennifer Moreau and the NOW newspaper did a similar survey when the Conservative government last had a leadership review, though I'm pretty sure of the answer to that.
That said, I wish to reveal that I am absolutely ecstatic to report that I have found something that the mayor and I can agree upon. That is that I too am not pulling for Niki Ashton, Nathan Cullen, Paul Dewar, Thomas Mulcair, Peggy Nash or Martin Singh. In fact we only disagree on one candidate, that being Brian Topp.
